Are You Ready?

God has a work for me to do. But He also has a work for you to do. Are you ready? Besides being ready, an equally important question is are you willing?

Being ready and willing requires a boldness that only the power of God can provide. Being ready and willing will require us to not to succumb to fear, but to step out and go regardless of how we feel.

I am reminded of a scripture in Isaiah 6:8. There was a message that God wanted delivered to the people. The scripture says, "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”" God asked and Isaiah answered with an emphatic spirit of readiness and willingness. Without knowing the message, without knowing what impact the message would have on him, without knowing what impact the message would have on the people, Isaiah still said send me!

This is the position I pray we take when we are called on by the Lord. No matter how uncertain we are, no matter if know the outcome or not, no matter if we feel unqualified, let us trust in the Lord and lean not to our own understanding and stand ready and willing to do whatever God calls us to do!
