Be Encouraged by the Word of God

All we need is in the Word of God. The more I live, the more I experience this truth in my own life.

A few weeks back, I was feeling discouraged at work. On this particular day, my attitude had gotten very negative and I felt like giving up. But I am grateful that God's strength in me prevailed and He delivered within in hours from that negative place.

But I am more encouraged because just a few days ago, God strengthened me even further in this area as I was studying His Word in Genesis 31. The story in Genesis was about Jacob's unfair treatment by Laban. Jacob had made a specific agreement with Laban to work for specific "payment". Unfortunately, Laban changed the terms of agreement more than once and Jacob was discouraged by that. But even in the midst of the changing terms, I love what Jacob said in verse five: “...But the God of my father has been with me.”

This encouraged me because even if terms and conditions change at work, I can trust that God is with me! And I'm going to be alright!

So whatever the changes we may go through: issues at work, situations with family, struggles within ourselves, we can rest assured that God is with us!

Study the Word that you may be encouraged in the Word in your situation.
