In a Blink of an Eye...

This past week, I heard a couple disturbing news stories that immediately got my attention.

One story was about a group of junior high school students celebrating spring break at a hotel pool. Unfortunately, the celebration ended abruptly because a majority of them ended up unconscious and one of them ended up dead due to carbon monoxide poisoning from a faulty heater in the pool.

The next story involved a young man texting while driving and his pick up truck collided with a small bus, killing 13 senior citizens.

As sad as these stories are, there was a reality and a truth that struck my heart: any of our lives can be taken in a blink of an eye. Knowing this, we as Christians, should have an sense of urgency to share the love of Christ with everyone we can. Furthermore, if we ourselves are not in right standing with Christ, we should have a sense of urgency to get in right standing with Him.

Second Peter 3:9 encourages all: The Lord is...not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Also, John 3:16 tells us for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

So if you have already accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, amen! Please share His love with others. But if you have not done so already, now is your opportunity. Visit the "about us" page of this website to learn how.

Don't put off what you can do today for tomorrow. Know that Jesus loves you and desires to be in relationship with you...now and forevermore.
