This past week, I had the opportunity to teach at my church's Vacation Bible School. The theme of the lesson was suiting up with the full armor of God. Many times when I teach in this sort of setting, I ask my students to share a "take-home" point; in other words, what's the one thing that the student learned that they can take home with them and apply it immediately to their lives. When it got around to me to share, I said that I will take home the point that I need to be prepared. Through the lesson, I was reminded that God has equipped us and provided for us all that we need to be able to stand against the the tricks of the enemy. But what are we doing to prepare ourselves? The preparation comes when we do our part to be able to stand against the tricks of the enemy. We need to make sure that we are praying , studying and applying God's Word, submitting to God, etc...our part. Be sure that we do OUR best and God will do the rest.
