Resting In God

Boy, last week was certainly challenging for me. I was so overwhelmed. I was managing completing assignments for a Bible class I'm taking online; I was preparing for a workshop that I was to facilitate for a women's retreat and I was preparing for an intensive and extensive verbal assessment at my job. All of that was on top of the "regular" things I do throughout the week.

There were moments where I felt there was no way I was going to be able to get done all that I needed to get done. But for as many times as I had those thoughts, I also had thoughts that 'God wouldn't put more on me than I could bear' or that I could go to Him and find rest (Matt. 11:28).

The more and more I trusted Him to help me get done what I needed to, the more peace I felt; the more relaxed I felt.

Needless to say, I completed everything that I needed to. God was very faithful to His promise: “Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” (Proverbs‬ ‭16:3‬ ‭NIV)

To God be the glory!
