Let Go, Receive From God

Holding on...this is something that plagues us all to some degree. What we hold on to may differ, but we hold on nonetheless. Can you think of anything that you are holding on to? Money? Worry? People? Control? The list could go on and on, right?

Whatever it is, I want to encourage us to let it go. God wants to replace whatever we are holding on to with more; something better and something greater. This illustration makes this point precisely.

Isaiah 61:3 says this: "To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair..."

This indeed is an encouraging truth, but notice, we must give up what we are holding to the receive the blessing He is offering. So let go and receive from God.
