2022 Reflection

I am really glad to be here. I don’t take this moment for granted. Here I am 29 days into January 2023! This is truly a big deal...don't you think? I sure do!

Scripture tells us, “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” (1 Chronicles‬ ‭16‬:‭34‬ ‭NIV‬‬) I thank Him for His consistent and persistent goodness in 2022. I know that if it wasn't for His goodness and love, I would not be here in 2023.

I think back on how God has blessed me. He blessed me with good health, a loving family, income, spirtual growth, the ability to travel, closer relationship with Him, peace of mind and so much more. Although there were many blessings and victories, I also seen my share of challenges in 2022. But I am glad to say that God saw me through each and every one of them. The weapons formed, but they didn't prosper. (Isaiah 54:17 paraphrase) I am still here! Plus I know, ..."that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose". (Romans 8:28) So even the challenges worked out for my good! Praise God!

How about you? Do you find it amazing that God saw you through to 2023? Take some time to reflect on His goodness that He bestowed in 2022. God forbid if we ever become desensitized to His goodness.

I’m reminded of an old song they used to sing in my church. Part of the lyrics say, ‘...as I look back over my life, and I think things over, I can truly say that I’ve been blessed…I have a testimony’. These lyrics are so true for me. I am truly blessed. Thank you Lord for allowing me to see 2023!
