Where do you live? Where do you work? Where do you go to school? Where do you grocery shop? Where do you go to church? Where do you go to work out? Where do you bank? If you have an answer to at least one of these questions, this message is for you.

Scripture says in Matthew 5:14-16, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people

light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same

way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

No matter where you may find yourself, you are called to be a light. No matter where you are, your light should never be hidden.

It is unfortunate, but we live in a dark world and so many people need to be exposed to the Light. They need to know that Jesus is real and He is our hope.

What are some ways that you can let your light shine? Perhaps just smiling at the clerk who bagged your groceries at the grocery

store. Or maybe holding the door open for the person walking in behind you at the gym. Or what about saying hello to the person

sitting alone at the lunch table at school?

Letting our light shine doesn’t have to be some profound, earth moving event. It is in the small things that we do and say that shows the love and light of Jesus Christ.

So let me encourage you...be lit! People around you need you more than you realize.
