I am so grateful. In July of this year, God answered a prayer that I'd been praying about for many years now, but praying even more fervently for over the last two years or so. It's amazing to actually be walking in something that you've been praying for. Although, I am grateful, glad and excited about it, I am also fully aware that walking in this new season in my life will require a new level of faith on my part.

When seasons change, so must we. Think of it in the natural, for example; as we move out of the summer season and move into the fall season, we will begin to see things change. The temperature changes, the landscape changes, the number of hours of sunlight changes just to name a few. As a result, we will find our behaviors changing as well; we start to dress warmer, we may spend less time outdoors so on and so forth.

In the spirit, when seasons change, we must change as well. But, in order to do this effectively, we must be open and sensitive to the flow, move and leadership of Holy Spirit. We must develop a spirit of humility and submission. We must develop a habit of following and walking after Him.

Isaiah 43:19 puts it this way, "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland".

When seasons change in the spirit, what we have been accustomed to may now be a thing of the past. The way that God did it before, may not be how He is doing it now. The way He may have moved in the past, may not be the way He is moving now. The way that He may have instructed before, may not be the way He is instructing now. We have to be careful not to miss it! Read Isaiah 43:19 carefully: after the prophet proclaims that a new thing is being done, he asks the people, 'do you not perceive it'? So it's not a matter of if a new thing is being done (because it is), it's a matter of if it's being perceived as such by us! Perceiving and receiving requires a new level of faith.

When it comes to walking into a new level of faith in our new seasons, there are many scriptures to help strengthen and support us in that endeavor. Below are just a few that I've highlighted:

2 Corinthians 5:7 says, "For we live by faith, not by sight".

When we step into a new season, there may be some unknowns. However, so long as we know the One Who Knows, we can be confident, even if we don't see something happening in the natural.

Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths".

Bottom line, in a new season, we will have to solely trust God while putting our own thoughts and reasoning to the side. He will direct us, so long as we trust in Him solely and fully.

Psalms 37:23 states, "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way".

In moments of doubt in our new seasons, we can trust and believe that God is ordering our steps, even when we may seem a little lost or off course.

Proverbs 16:9 lets us know, "A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps".

Again, God directs our steps. Trust Him in the new season.
